it takes a village...

great adventure often starts with the crossing of paths. earlier this year, ours crossed with our new friend mike levitt, the owner of scooter world. mike has this huge heart, and he wanted to join us in our yearly celebration of hope. he decided to generously donate a scooter from his cool, "transportation station"...where you can be hooked-up with the latest in eco-friendly-butt- moving-jazzed-about-my-new-wheels fashion.

then...our kind and amazing friend missy koonce, proud co-owner of bar natasha, jumped in the fun and selflessly offered to sell raffle tickets at her "hip, hoppin', happenin' live performance club downtown".

and then...(yes, it gets better)...

our friends at "the independent" and "the pitch" said..."what a rockin' idea to raise money for a great cause." so they dug deep into their "generosity pockets" and decided to feature the event and its month long "kick-off" to help sell raffle tickets and to get everyone to join the two day celebration party...at stuff.

we note with great pride that this year "wings of hope" will be celebrated city-wide. that is why we will donate every dollar raised in the "scooter raffle", plus 10% of all our sales on november 4th & 5th, to the susan henke miller breast cancer research fund that directly supports local efforts to find a cure for cancer.

what an amazing village in which we live...
